Now we wait…

I just wanted to upload some images of the yard after all of the soil and amendments and peat moss have been spread out. This is what I am left with today.

After several days of messing with the front yard, its more flat and ready for fall. The work doesn’t exactly translate onto the internet but let me tell you, it was hard work.

After the topsoil was laid out I put down some liquid chemicals. My front yard is basically 3000 sqft. So I put down the max rate of Tenacity (by accident) 1.1oz, and 9oz of RGS, and 36oz of GreenPop Fertilizer in my Ryobi backpack sprayer all mixed up with 4 gallons of water.

I accidently got distracted and misread the application amount I needed of tenacity and saw the max year dose. Hopefully this doesn’t hurt anything with the new seeds coming up. I didn’t use any at all this year so at least there is that.

Then I went and put down 4 bails of peat moss to cover up any bare spots in the yard to keep the birds from eating my grass seed. Also helps keep the ground from drying out too quickly and acts as a nice indicator if the soil is wet or dry as the shade goes from dark brown (wet) to light brown (dry).

I’ll post again when the grass starts to germinate. Its basically been 48 hours at this point. I would expect to see something in a week to 10 days.
